A file sharing procedure for external users
The extranet module main purpose is to create an interface between your organisation and external users, i.e. clients or suppliers.
With this module you can give access to some information to external users and control what information is accessed.
One of the tools is a procedure to share documents directly from the server via a link. With this procedure, you select document(s), select recipients by email address and send them a link for download: go to /extranet-file-share
The recipient will receive a message with a link and one password. Once activated (downloaded) the link is disabled. which means that the file can only be downloaded once.
Files can be tracked to verify if they have been downloaded. Go to /extranet-file-share-status and see which file are still pending or have been downloaded. Note also that link are expiring after 24H for security but expiration deadline can be extended in on click.
You can use this tool when you do not want files to be exchanged via email for more privacy and when you want to control the download status.
